Description
In this photograph, Sung captures an architectural structure in Williamsburg, Brooklyn during the summer. What first caught his attention was the quiet balance between living creatures and human-built environments. By removing the human element, he focused instead on a structure in Bushwick Inlet Park where several birds had made their nests.
The concrete roof—supported by wooden pillars—acts as a shelter from the harsh sumer light and heat, creating a small shared space between species. For an artist living in New York City, this moment became a reminder of how easily we overlook the other lifeforms that live alongside us every day.
